We make turbulators in a wide range of geometries, dimensions and materials offering the best efficiency solution for many heat exchanger systems. According to the customers requirements we make a proposal for the turbulator design and a quote based on the needed quantities. On request we can make performance calculations and provide samples for testing the effect the turbulators will have on the performance of the application at hand.

TURBULATORS

 

We have three main turbulator designs which can be custom made in small or large quantities. The turbulator dimensions, material and geometry will be adjusted to suit the tube sizes, flow regimes and temperatures of the application concerned and to offer different heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics.  Our correlations enable us to calculate the effect our turbulators will have on the thermal performance of various applications. Yet, in most cases we recommended to test in practice the effect turbulators will have on the efficiency and pressure drop of the application concerned. The best ratio between pressure drop and heat transfer

The conventional turbulator of JD Turbulators is based on the left-right twisted tape design. This turbulator is known to have the best ratio between pressure drop and heat transfer improvement, which makes it the best solution when the amount of pressure drop allowed is limited.

EFICIENCY + TURBULATOR

A higher heat transfer-rate when more pressure drop is allowed

The efficiency+ turbulator is based on our proven left-right twisted tape design. Added is a corrugated surface and a shorter pitch, which results in a higher heat transfer-rate when more pressure drop is allowed. Efficiency + turbulators are the best solution for that last extra step of efficiency increase. They are also a valuable tool for creating extra resistance, for example in the case of wide pipe diameters.

SPIRAL TURBULATOR

Increased heat transfer combined with cleaning functionality

The spiral turbulator is based on a fully 360twisted tape design, with a smooth or corrugated  surface. The unique corrugated spiral shape of this turbulator enables a short pitch for improved heat transfer enhancement and better cleaning functionality for biomass boilers.

  • Lightweight design.
